In late 2002, Tel Pacific selected the IVSTEL Nova Calling Card System to replace their existing Prepaid platform because Nova provided cost effective growth and seamless expansion utilising ISDN, VoIP and potentially SS7 with a one stop shop solution for installation, software and hardware support.

Part of the requirement was not only to supply a new system but to convert the existing database for use by Nova and re-use the existing hardware from the legacy equipment. The Nova system went live in Queensland in February 2003 providing a new face to Tel Pacific customers with crystal clear prompts in several languages. The other states of Victoria and NSW were successfully cutover to Nova in April 2003. Following the initial success with Nova Prepaid, IVSTEL has now migrated their Postpaid, Wholesale and Mobile CLI services to the Nova System and removed the legacy system.
