The Nova Soft Switch (NSS) service can be setup to either:

1. act like a normal telephone allowing your customer to pick up the phone (SIP phone or IAD) and dial a number; or

2. prompt the customer for an account number before allowing the call.

In both cases access is via the Internet and by-passes the conventional Telco.
